Zigo® Granted Patent On Zigo Leader
Patent covers core LeaderLink® technology

South Orange, NJ, September 6, 2010: Zigo today announced that it has been granted U.S. Patent # 7,780,184 covering key aspects of the LeaderLink technology used in the Zigo Leader Carrier Bicycle system. The Leader is an integrated cycle and front-positioned child carrier that converts, using LeaderLink technology, to a stroller, baby jogger, rear trailer or urban cycle in under a minute.

"The issuance of this patent validates the unique engineering and design that has gone into the Zigo Leader," explained Michael Ehrenreich, M.D., Founder of Zigo. "This is the first of a series of patents that we expect to issue on this technology."

The LeaderLink system creates a functional connection between the Cycle and the ChildPod, comprising structure, steerage and braking.

The Leader Cycle is available with either a three-speed or a seven-speed Shimano Nexus hub. The Zigo Leader X2, designed for carrying one or two children, is available in either orange or green with an MSRP of $1,399 to $1,599, depending on the model.
